The British Petroleum has declared that it is going to pay back for all the losses that the people dwelling in the coastal areas. However, the people have also suffered from certain losses that can never be quantified. The general people do suffer from five emotional stages when they come to know that they are going to die. The first stage is the stage of ‘denial’. All the sufferers of the large oil spill of the company BP had initially hoped that the company is going to pay for all the losses and clear up all the contaminating materials in the surrounding. They did not at all believe that this contamination can take their lives. However, the company has not yet turned up towards the issue.
The next step is anger. All the people suffering from the BP oil spill were totally raged with anger. The time was completely filled with frustration as well as a feeling of inability. After this the next stage is bargaining with oil spill claims. The whole world witnessed BP claims of millions of dollars by the suffering people in order to compensate for all the losses suffered. The next stage, which is the most vital one, is ‘depression’. As the time comes closer, the people become more and more depressed as well as anxious. Everyone in the world is afraid to die. There may be a number of people in those areas who are quite young, who may not have even tasted the real taste of life. There may be some who may be having some unfulfilled wishes of life. Such people will never want to die. When they come to know about their sooner death, they naturally will become depressed.
The last phase of an unsuccessful BP claim is the phase of acceptance. This is the most pathetic phase of the life of these people. In this phase, the people accept their defeat in front of their fate. Finally, after being exhausted of struggling with death, the people have to accept the fact of their death. This is the fate of the people suffering from the consequences of the large oil spill of the famous company British Petroleum. Recently, the company has been known to be planning for some sort of compensation for the losses suffered by those people. However, the unquantifiable losses of the people are too many to be compensated. If the company had taken necessary steps earlier, then perhaps this situation might not have arisen.
